All this Holding on is making you bitter…

Holding on to some things is like being a hoarder. You think by having all these things (which honestly you don’t need) you are better off than the next person. When in all honesty you clutter up your soul and your life and let the good things pass you by. Why? Because you have no space for the good to take over, nothing stands a chance. Do you know what ends up happening? All that holding on and failing to let go makes you ridiculously bitter.

There are many areas in your life where bitterness can stem from be it in your personal sphere or professionally.

Be it a relationship you have been in for 10 years when only 1 of those 10 years was actually good. It was good while it lasted and you know what? Now its bad. Rather than continue to live another 10 years of hurt and anger and bitterness choose to unload yourself of the ‘could have been’, and live in the reality. Unload yourself of the anger and regret and be liberated to the vast possibilities.

It can be a friendship where your heart was slowly ripped out of your body, stomped on, wrung dry,  and fed to any carnivorous animal that passed their way by the one person you thought was your friend.

It could even be that you have been passed for promotion-again- when you know you are the most qualified, deserving and hardworking person. It plays on your capabilities, makes you feel worthless. And these feelings turn to bitterness. Rather let your bitterness be your fuel to Work smarter, chose wiser and move on unchained.

If it was easy to let things go then there would be no point of this post. But just like losing weight (which is not as easy as it seems), letting go of bitter is as challenging if not more.

When we let the bitterness rule our lives it takes over from the inside out. We start to manifest this bitterness in our everydaylives and to people who dont deserve to be recipients. By letting bitterness win we allow ourselves to be servants to our emotions

You need to learn to let go of the pain, don’t allow it to be a noose around your neck which keeps getting tighter the more you hold on. Blinding u from a better life, a life were you move on and live the best version of your life.
